The eccentric portion of an exercise often goes unnoticed.
We focus so heavily on improving our numbers in the gym we get a little TOO focused on the concentric component.
And don’t get me wrong, the ability to produce force concentrically is incredibly important.
That concentric strength allow us to produce force rapidly in a variety of situations.
BUT.
The eccentric portion should not go forgotten.
